What Guides Us

Kalia Health uses 4 pillars to guide its work: technology, community, education/advocacy, and identity. Preeclampsia is a complicated condition, and it is challenging to diagnose, but the reason we see its resulting health disparities are largely related to systemic social issues.

  • Technology

The “technology,” Kal-PDx, can provide a more accurate and early preeclampsia diagnosis.

  • Community

Engaging with our “community” allows us design the technology with user needs in mind and address the immediate needs of birthing people of color.

  • Education & Advocacy

“Education and advocacy” allow us to empower our community while also working towards system change through political advocacy around issues like midwife integration.

  • Identity

“Identity” is how we behave as a company- the pillar in which we embody the ideals of the world we aim for.
